The star midfielder Operated in a forward position on the right while also put in the hard yards. Showed flashes of quality and dragged a shot wide. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's best chance in the opening period, his strike well saved by the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to provide width out wide although his balls from the touchline were inconsistent. Taken off with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The decisive figure with his two more strikes in an England shirt. The first a classic opportunist's goal and the second a classy header after peeling away away from the opposition. At 32, he’s only getting better and England have every chance next summer when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Struggled to get into the game from the left. Had a good opening after being played in by Bellingham however Strakosha made the save. His replacement had a greater influence after coming on. 5/10
