Loyal fans of the pop star are urging that a man who leaped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the Australian man pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another message on Instagram.

Several attendees also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, winning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
