A high-ranking Russian military figure has been fatally wounded following an explosion in Moscow, according to reports from authorities.
The attack occurred on Monday morning when an explosive device planted beneath a vehicle exploded, resulting in the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces' department for training operations.
Investigators stated that one line of inquiry points to the alleged involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. So far, Ukraine has remained silent.
